Gemini, everywhere Google is

Google's AI isn't one app — it's woven through Search, Chrome, Gmail, and Docs, plus standout standalone tools like NotebookLM and AI Studio. Everything below is free to learn from; here's the whole map.

What the plans get you

Most of this has a real free tier. Paid sits under the Google AI brand: AI Plus (~$5/mo), AI Pro (~$20/mo — adds Gemini inside Gmail/Docs plus NotebookLM Plus), and AI Ultra (from ~$100/mo — highest limits and Deep Think). At work, Gemini is bundled into Google Workspace Business Standard (~$14/user/mo) and up — no longer sold as a separate add-on.

Getting started — the Gemini app no code 5

Google's assistant, plus the AI now woven through Search, Chrome, and your phone. Nothing to install — most of it is already inside Google apps you use daily.

Gemini free tier — Google's assistant (web + Android/iOS): chat, image generation, Deep Research, live voice, and a Canvas workspace. Runs the Gemini 3.x models.
Gemini Gems free — Build your own reusable Gemini experts — a coding helper, a writing coach — with custom instructions and your own reference files.
Gemini in Chrome free tier — An assistant in Chrome's side panel that reads your open tabs to summarise and compare, and can run agentic browsing tasks.
AI Mode in Google Search free — Conversational, multimodal search — ask with text, images, or files and get an AI answer instead of ten blue links. Now available globally.
Gemini Apps Help Center free — The official getting-started reference — setup, voice/image/camera input, and connecting your other Google apps.
NotebookLM — your research partner no code 3

Upload your own sources — PDFs, docs, websites, YouTube videos — and NotebookLM becomes an expert in exactly that material, answering with clickable citations and never wandering into things you didn't give it. The most useful Google AI tool most people haven't tried.

NotebookLM free tier — Source-grounded research assistant: ask questions and generate summaries, study guides, mind maps, and slide decks strictly from your uploaded material.
Audio & Video Overviews free tier — Turn your sources into a podcast-style discussion you can interrupt and question, or a narrated video — learning on the go, built from your own material.
NotebookLM Help Center free — Official guides to sources, notebooks, the Studio panel, and every output type.
Build with Gemini — AI Studio & dev tools intermediate 7

Where you go from using Gemini to building with it. Google AI Studio needs no install — just a browser and a Google account — and now generates whole apps from a prompt.

Google AI Studio free tier — A free browser workspace to prototype with the Gemini API, grab an API key, and build & deploy full web or Android apps straight from a prompt.
AI Studio — Build mode docs free — How to generate and one-click-deploy apps in AI Studio — the fastest path from idea to a running thing.
Gemini API quickstart free tier — Your first API call in a few minutes — the official developer on-ramp.
Google AI for Developers free tier — The full developer hub: API docs, model reference (Gemini, Imagen, Veo, open Gemma), function calling, and agents.
AI Studio for Beginners (YouTube) free — Google's official video playlist walking through AI Studio from scratch.
Jules free tier — An autonomous coding agent that clones your GitHub repo, makes multi-file changes in the cloud, and opens a pull request. Real free tier.
Google Antigravity free — Google's free agentic development platform — multiple AI agents with their own editor, terminal, and live browser to build and test code.
Gemini in Google Workspace no code 4

If your work lives in Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Meet, Gemini is already there — drafting emails, summarising threads, writing formulas, generating decks, and taking your meeting notes. These teach you to actually use it.

Workspace with Gemini — overview free — Google's hub for what Gemini does across Gmail (draft & summarise), Docs (write & rewrite), Sheets (formulas & analysis), Slides (whole decks + images), Meet (auto notes), and Drive (ask across your files).
Google Workspace (YouTube) free — Official channel with short how-to videos for Gemini features as they ship.
Google Skills — Workspace with Gemini path free — A structured free learning path on Google's training platform (formerly Cloud Skills Boost).
Grow with Google — AI Essentials free tier — Google's beginner AI-literacy program: a gentle, broad introduction to using AI productively at work.
Creative — Veo, Imagen & Flow no code 3

Google's generative media tools. These get the full treatment on the AI Art page — here's the map to where they live.

Google Labs free tier — Google's home for experimental AI tools before they graduate — where Flow, ImageFX, and others incubate.
Flow — AI filmmaking free tier — Combine Veo video, image generation, and custom tools through a natural-language agent. See the AI Art page for the full video-gen picture.
Veo (video) & Imagen (image) free tier — DeepMind's cinematic video model (Veo 3.1, native audio) and image model (Imagen 4) — also reachable right inside the Gemini app.
