The Claude ecosystem
Anthropic's lineup goes well beyond the chatbot: a visual design studio, a Slack teammate, an agent for everyday knowledge work, a coding agent, and a full developer platform — all running on the Claude models (flagship: Claude Fable 5). Here's the whole map, plus how Claude is built.
What the plans get you
Free covers everyday chat. Pro (~$20/mo) unlocks more usage plus Claude Code, Cowork, and Claude Design; Max (~$100–200/mo) adds the highest limits and earliest access. For organisations, Team and Enterprise add admin controls — and are where Claude Tag, the Slack teammate, lives. Developers pay per token on the API.
The ecosystem
Getting started — the Claude apps no code 4
Claude on the web, desktop, and mobile. The flagship model is Claude Fable 5, with Opus 4.8, Sonnet 5, and Haiku 4.5 for different speed and cost needs. Nothing to install to begin — just sign in.
Claude Design — design by conversation no code 3
An Anthropic Labs tool that turns a prompt, image, or brand into polished, interactive designs — prototypes, slides, one-pagers, and decks. The output is live, clickable HTML you refine by talking, not a flat picture; export to PDF, PPTX, or Canva.
Claude at work — Tag & Cowork no code 2
Claude as a teammate rather than a chat window: living in your Slack, or running multi-step knowledge work on your desktop.
Claude Code — agentic coding intermediate 2
Anthropic's coding agent: it reads your codebase, edits files, runs commands, and handles git — in the terminal, your IDE, a desktop app, or the browser.
Build with Claude — the developer platform intermediate 5
For developers: call the models directly, and build agents on the same harness Anthropic uses.
How Claude is designed — safety & alignment 4
How Claude is built to behave — the reasoning and safety work beneath the products above. Worth understanding whichever tool you use.
